Ich liebe gute Mysteryromane und ich bin auf eine Autorin gestoßen, die gekonnt das Mysteriöse vor einer gelungenen Landschaftskulisse präsentiert, dem Lake Superior, dem größten der fünf Seen in Nordamerika. GRUSEL. Sie hat einige Bücher geschrieben und wird die Queen of Northern Gothic genannt, ein Buch, INSEL DER SCHATTEN, ist auch auf Deutsch erhältlich, das habe ich aber noch nicht gelesen. Also, wer auf sanften Grusel oder Schauer steht und sich entspannen möchte, ist mit Wendy Webbs Büchern sehr gut bedient! Das erste Buch von Wendy Webb , welches ich gelesen habe, heißt The Haunting of Brynn Wilder.

Ich fand es so fantastisch, dass ich mittlerweile schon 4 Romane von Wendy gelesen habe. Das zweite Werk war dies: DAUGHTERS OF THE LAKE.

Oh dieses Buch war auch so unfassbar großartig!
„The Vanishing“ war mein drittes Buch von Wendy Webb! Auch das war wieder beste Unterhaltung für zwischendurch! Die Protagonistinnen kommen oft mit einer ungelösten Aufgabe aus der Vergangenheit an den großen See und dies ist immer wunderbar altmodisch im Gothic-Stil beschrieben! Ich liebe es einfach nur!
Wunderbar finde ich auch, dass sie alte Mythen der Region oder aus anderen Ländern hochinteressant zum Leben erweckt!
